Tim Satchwell originally came from Shrewsbury in Shropshire. Having spent thirty years living and working in London and Bristol he is now located in Cambridge. His interest in music started as a teenager in the mid 70’s. He followed his passion working in record shops and playing bass in local bands. After moving to London in 1984, he started work for Our Price and Virgin Retail in the West End of London and dabbled on the bass guitar in more bands. After moving to Gallup helping compile the music charts for the UK record industry, he went on to spend several years in UK independent music distribution and record labels. Currently working in IT Support in Higher Education he is still longing for the Good Old Days and an early retirement.
